The first trailer for “Paper Towns” aired this morning on the Today Show. “Paper Towns” is adapted from John Green’s best-selling novel of the same name. Directed by Jake Schreier and starring Nat Wolff as Quentin Jacobsen and Cara Delevingne as Margo Roth Spiegelman, it is the second novel of Green’s to hit the big screen, the first being “The Fault in Our Stars.”
“Paper Towns” is about straight-laced Quentin, whose relationship with the girl next door, Margo, has faded from friendship to acquaintances as they have grown from children to young adults. One night Margo reaches out to Quentin for help, and she takes him on an all-night adventure. The next morning Quentin learns Margo, the girl who loves mysteries, has become one herself – she is missing. Quentin soon discovers clues that have seemingly been left by Margo, and the clues are meant for him. The information leads Quentin and his friends on a path of discovery as they search for the girl they thought they knew.
I read “Paper Towns” not too long ago. It was one of those books I read in one night, so you can expect to see me in the audience once it hits theaters on July 24th. I’ll be the one shaking my head disapprovingly when something wasn’t adapted to my liking. It’s what I do.
